Coffee Review: Cafe Grumpy's Brazilian Rodomunho! ♥

Beans: Rodomunho! ♥
Produced by: Cristiano Ottoni
Varietal of beans: Acaia, Catuai, Icatu, Mundo Novo
Region: Cerrado, Brazil
(more information)
Roasters: Cafe Grumpy
Located: Greenpoint, BK (Brooklyn) NYC

Method: Pour-Over (V60) Hario Family
Verdict: Clean method produces amazing rich dark chocolate of the 85% type. Infused with this fruitiness similar to a juicy raspberry/blueberry. Sweetness from the berries hits the tip of the tongue, and melds into this brightness throughout the cup. Fragrant smells of fresh cookie batter starting to rise in the oven. Delicious.
Cafe Grumpy says: "Bittersweet chocolate & raspberry notes, vanilla waffle cone finish."
Went well with the Upside-down Apple Cake

Check back in with Cafe Grumpy to see if they currently have this bean in rotation.
**This is one half of the Heartbreaker Espresso blend**
Need to investigate.

  1. Awesome review Cindy - how did you end up getting the Cafe Grumpy beans sent to you? Or did you pick up a lot while visiting them in Brooklyn?

  3. The quality of espresso it produces is excellent. It has been said that 'manual' espresso machines are more admin that the pod variety. delonghi esam3300
