M^4: NYcC this past weekend

M^4: Coffee's notable news...

Coffee Common busted onto the seen for a 4 day pop-up experience in Chelsea this past weekend. Read up and experience the ride with smdlr, through the vivid photos and amazing write-up, I felt as if I got a "fly on the wall" view of the event.

Bamboo Tampers... whoa

In case you missed it "Shit Barista Say..." (youtube) Thanks Sprudge

In response to what I made for Sunday Brunch:
Apple smoked Chardonnay Chicken Sausages, caramelized onions, organic Rye, velvety soft scrambled eggs and slices of ripe avocado..... super yummy! (not in photo DH Americano) Gluten-Free!

M^4: New Renos

New Renos have been completed at Manic.
(stay tuned for updates and photos of the new space)

Matt and his team have worked very hard, and I've been a bad patron.
There will be photos up within the next week.
(Still working on the Fratello piece and the rest of the Grumpy and Handsome reviews)

For now, know that Espresso Adventures is working hard. Working on some exciting news that needs to be finalized within the next month. On top of the weekly entries, Summer time has been eating itself away, and its' almost FALL....

Enjoy the other blogrolls --> and drop me a line on Twitter for more quick updates.

M^4: Oh boy!

Monday Morning Manic Muffins have been slightly bleak lately, but it's because there are bigger projects currently in the works.

Round up of what happened last week:
  • Found off of Sprudge.com; Gorilla Coffee Litagation gets thrown out (here)
  • Friends over at smdlr.com have been killing it with a slew of posts since the launch of the on-line zine. Spot-light on Grumpy.
  • Otherwise, just new coffees coming out - NBD
Bringing new materials and exciting stuff happening in the next couple of months. Looking forward to some partnership, and sipping all the Handsome Coffee that I currently have, and to share with my buddies over at Te-Aro.ca

M^4: Prairie Regional Barista Champs

Round up of M^4 from last week:
Short but sweet, as I've been away for a handful of days, expect less posts on the weekend, while I ram up testings, events and other fun local stuff to do.

    M^4: Pleasent surprises

MONDAY MORNING MANIC MUFFINS! (just in case you were wondering what M^4 meant)

Hope everyone cooled down with the heat wave. For some it was a shock to their system with upward of 100F/40C temperatures - similar to the insides of a kitchen... but it's now cooled down.
At least we have seasons here.

Wrap up of what was making coffee headlines this week:
    • Randy Hogg from Bridgehead takes the ERBC over in good old QC
    • Sprudge.com reporting of an event on Aug 4th: Cafe Grumpy in Park Slope.
(Art from Origin) ART SHOW and COFFEE, fused together? #ifonlyIwasinNYC
    • Video of Coffee Common's First public event in London - Prufrock

    • Coffee Common at Prufrock from Coffee Common on Vimeo.
    • Looks like good times!
    • Got in 5 different coffee from Fratello in Calgary, this week will be cuppings and tastings.
More adventures prior to the long weekend - Civic styles!
    HAPPY ESPRESSO ADVENTURES!

I challenge everyone to keep a Coffee Journal for the 5 days, I'll show my notes on Friday. On Saturday I'll include what other readers choose to note/not note for the work week. A totally coffee geek fest, but loving why and what we do it for.
      The sweet sweet caffeine.
